The vehicular adapters mobile microphone is connected to the radio, and the radios internal microphone is not operational. Normal portable microphone operation resumes upon ejection. The consoles charging circuits are connected to the radios battery to charge it. The XTVA with the power amplified speaker automatically mute the radios internal speaker and transfer received messages to the PA/speaker. The audio level of the PA/speaker is set by the console volume control and is independent from the radio volume control setting.
