Motorola PR1500 Two-way Radio

  

This radio was working when removed from service, being replaced with a radio that supported multiple protocols, hundreds of channels and a front panel display; otherwise it would still be in service. This listing is for one VHF, 5 watt, portable radio and includes an antenna, a remote speaker/microphone, a NiCad battery, and an aftermarket desktop charger (with no power supply). The power supply for the desktop base needs to be 15VDC and a minimum of 900mA. Visually, the radio and accessories are obviously, used.

A unit number was painted on the front of the radio, that I tried to remove using paint thinner. Most of it is gone, but is still visible. The cap for the earpiece jack on the speaker/microphone connector is broken and missing. Functionally, the radio was wiped clean of customer's frequencies, and reprogrammed with MABAS grounds fire-channels and weather channels (receive only). It was tested and verified to have at least 5 watts output power, 2.5 kHz voice modulation, and receive at 3uV (-118dBm) or less, when directly coupled to an IFR 1200S service monitor.

This radio is not configured for anything other than analog communications, but is capable of being upgraded to P25 digital standards.
